Brown Hotel Penang - Your Next Cozy Hotel Staycation

Since my housemate is Penang Lang, it is almost impossible to be playing tourist and staying at the hotel whenever I visit Penang. So, I was really excited when I get to know that the Team KiteJalan will be visiting Georgetown, Penang for a 3 Days 2 Nights trip. Guess what, guys? We will be staying at hotel for this trip and what a dream comes true! This is the hotel that I will be staying during my visit to Georgetown.

This newly opened hotel is known as the Brown Hotel that strategically located at the heart of Georgetown where the famous Padang Brown Food Court is just across this hotel. It is so convenience as well to visit Komtar that is within walking distance and to explore the UNESCO Georgetown site that riches with its culture, foods and arts.

 

Just to let you know if you are driving, this hotel has limited parking space as you will need to book it in advance for the slot. Else, you can park your car at Padang Brown parking facility by paying RM 2 (if not mistaken) and it is free of charge (FOC) after 10.00 P.M. Remember to not park your car at the road side as you will fined for that. 

Save the fine for the best Pasembur in town! :)

Upon our arrival, we straight heading to the 2nd Floor where the hotel lobby is located. Our check-in process was a smooth one and thanks to the friendly staffs that assisted us on this. A refundable deposit of RM100 was collected for our two nights stay.

This hotel has a total of 51 well-appointed room with 4 different selections; Standard Single, Standard Twin, Standard Queen and Family Room. 

Standard Single comes with single bed that fit 1 person comfortably whereas Standard Twin and Standard Queen are suitable for 2 persons and Family Room for 3 persons.

Every room in Brown Hotel comes with an en suite spacious bathroom with standing rain shower and basic toiletries including towers were provided.

If you need to keep your precious belonging, there is mini safety box provided and remember to clear it during your check out (Reminder based on personal experience), there is mini refrigerator and open concept closet for you to hang your clothes, etc.

The room also equipped with working desk and complimentary set of coffee & tea maker with drinking water.

Overall, I do really enjoy my stay here and love the room design that give me sense of calmness and comfort. That's really makes my day!

Just another additional information that this hotel will have their own in-house cafe called Brown Cafe at the second floor just next to the Check-In Counter but during my stay, this cafe is still under renovation. Hopefully next time I will be able to share with you when I get the chance to dine at their Brown Cafe.
