Changing working environment for a day or two actually helps to increase your productivity especially when you have been working from home for so long, just like me for another month, I will be officially celebrating my 1st Anniversary of working from home. Can you imagine that been working alone without face to face interaction with your colleagues and clients for almost a year now? Anyway, thankfully that my friends arranged a short staycation at a 4-Star hotel that located just few kilometers away from the Kuala Lumpur City. Let me spill the tea now! Yes, I finally check-in at Vivatel Kuala Lumpur.

Vivatel Kuala Lumpur is located at Jalan Loke Yew, one of the main thoroughfare in the Kuala Lumpur city that gives an easy access to any part of Klang Valley. This hotel is very unique where it comes with a contemporary design that harmoniously blend with the rooms inspired by the nature elements of water, fire, wood, earth and metal. If you are looking for a perfect base regardless you are a local or international tourist, Vivatel Kuala Lumpur should be your first choice as this hotel provide their guests with the essential of travel and boasts it facilities to give you a pleasurable stay.

If you are worried about SOP due to Covid-19, you can be rest assured about this because Vivatel Kuala Lumpur had implemented all necessary procedures from the moment you step into their hotel lobby. Firstly, of course scanning the MySejahtera, sanitize your hand with their touch-free sanitizer dispenser and body temperature check.

At the reception counter, there is a barrier installed to minimize direct contact between the hotel staffs with their check-in guests. During the check-in process, make sure only one person to minimize the crowd and observes the 1-meter physical distancing with one another. Not sure how far is one meter? No worries because there is a mark on the floor for your reference too.

Comfortable Superior Deluxe Room

I was so excited after getting all the check-in procedure done and it is time for me to explore the room that I will be staying for 2 Days 1 Night. As we were traveling in 4 pax, we have 2 adjoining Superior Deluxe Rooms that located at the Platinum Floor which is 12th Floor of this hotel. The room was pretty spacious at the size of 27m² that comes with a King-sized bed and attached bathroom with standing rain shower.

 

Check out for the design guys, the toilet entrance from the side but there is a sliding door that you can open up from the side, cool isn't it? Oh yes, the refrigerator is placed behind this sliding door as you can see from the picture. The bathroom is equipped with the ceiling-height mirror that indeed will satisfied you when you want to get yourself ready or make up.

My main purpose was to change my working environment, well the room really serve me with that purpose. I can work peacefully and comfortably in this room with its spacious desk and nice chair. Tired and planing to take a short break? I had a cup of good coffee as the coffee machine is provided in the room too.

Let check out the final part of the room, the wardrobe and other items that provided in this area. As far as I remembered, this was the first hotel i stayed so far that provides a weighting scale in the room.

That's pretty much about the room that I stayed here at Vivatel Kuala Lumpur. Besides Supreme Deluxe, there are other room types that I was given a chance to have a quick peek which are the Deluxe Room, Junior Suite, Executive Suite and Grand Suite.

Saving the best for the last, the Duplex Suite that provides the true comforts of home that featuring a spacious living room, a kitchenette at the first floor and gorgeous bedroom with open bathtub just next to the bed on the second floor. This room is perfect for newly couple or those who celebrating their anniversary right.

Dining Experience

Retro Cafe is the in-house restaurant that offers you a casual dining experience with a variety of Asian and Western cuisines. With its cosy atmosphere, this cafe is a great setting for hearty breakfast, quick lunches or informal dinners as well as casual meetings over coffee. During our lunch at Retro Cafe, we ordered 4 different dishes so that we can taste variety of foods that served here. For me, I ordered the "Daging Gulai" Rice Set and it comes with complimentary drink of the day and assorted fruits.

Personal Recommendation: I do really love the "daging gulai" rice set here. The rice was so fragrant and topped with the aromatic curry gravy. The beef was perfectly cook that it was so soft and delicious. What make the entire dish even more perfect is the sambal. You definitely need to try this out!

Others that the rice set, we also ordered the Spaghetti with Mushroom Soup for Miera, Boneless Chicken Leg for Faiz and Fish & Chip for Izryl. I would say the chef here really prepares delicious and tasty foods that you won't stop eating till your plate is clean and clear. The tastes and flavors really suit our taste buds.

As for dinner, we had the Jolly Jingle Christmas set, the roasted whole chicken set that enough to serves for 5 to 6 pax. The set is also served with a choice of Roasted farmer potato or Spaghetti Aglio Olio or Butter Rice accompanied with sauteed vegetables and Rosemary sauce.

We Ready To Enjoy The Feast!

We really had a filling dinner that night with this juicy roasted chicken. So, this Jolly Jingle Xmas Set is available until 31st December 2020. You can either dine-in at Retro Cafe, take away or allows them to cater it for you. Just make 1-day in advance order or reservation for you to enjoy this scrumptious set. During our stay, we went there to shop for some "jajan" for our pillow talk session. There are several convenient mart available here like 7-Eleven, MyNews and even Super Seven. 

During the hotel tour, we were given a chance to visit several meeting rooms and the grand ballroom. The meeting rooms come with state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment and decorated with a forest theme that make the entire area with the sense of calmness.

The grand ballroom comes with the seating capacity up to 1,000 guests make it a perfect place for event such as weddings, parties, graduations, conferences or seminars. It also equipped with necessary equipment such as the big LED screen and projectors for your convenient.

A staycation won't be perfect without taking a dip in the swimming pool, right? Swimming pool at Vivatel Kuala Lumpur is suitable for both adult and kids as there is a directly attached shallow kiddie pool making it a perfect way to laze the day away in the sun with your family and loved ones.

Last but not least, this hotel has its own designated parking area so if you are driving, you won't have any problem with the parking issue or worried about your car during the stay.
