Dear Readers,
Guardian Malaysia Lowers and Locks Prices of 1,500 Essentials To Cushion Impact Of The COVID-19 Pandemic For Customers
Do you still remember that Malaysia was proudly praised and standing high in the eyes of the world when we manage to curb the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak when the Government of Malaysia take immediate action to put Malaysia under the first Movement Control Order (MCO) back in 18th March 2020 until 3rd May 2020?
We then, observed Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) from 4th May 2020 until 9th June 2020, followed by the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) from 10th June 2020 until 31st March 2021. Since the cases are pretty much controllable except for several states, MCO by States were instated from 11st January 2021 until 31st May 2021.
However, the situation worsen recently that the Government of Malaysia was forced to put Malaysia once again under a "Total Lockdown" that will be effective starting from 1st June 2021 for two weeks. This is due to the situation where the new cases have been continuously breaking the highest records in 5 straight days with the highest newly infection cases of 9020 cases and 98 deaths who tested positive of COVID-19 in single day.
This situation is really bad that many Malaysians especially those running businesses are badly impacted, either financially or mentally discouraged. We do really hope that the Total Lockdown this time can truly flatten the curve once again and the Malaysia's vaccination program will be expedite in order to lower down the possibility of the spread within the community.
