Dear Readers,
#GuardianCare Initiative To Focus On The Three Pillars Of Health, Community and the Environment
Guardian Malaysia recently celebrated its 54th Anniversary with the launch of its #GuardianCare initiative that focuses on caring for the health of their customers and the community after two years of pandemic-driven challenges.
"#GuardianCare is a sustainable initiative, that cares for our customers, their family, the shopping choices they make and also for the community they live in". said Angela Teo, Head of Marketing, Guardian Health & Beauty Sdn Bhd.
This initiative is centered around "Because I Care" sentiment and it will focus on the three key pillars connected to Guardian's brand purposes. The three pillars are:
- Health - good health and well-being of our customers and the communities
- Community - Educating the community on their health concerns
- Environment - promoting responsible consumption and production practices and reducing single plastic use.
#GuardianCare - Together We Make A Difference |
"We would like to inspire and empower customers to make healthy and sustainable choices when it comes to choosing the health and beauty brands they trusted at Guardian. At the end of the day, we want our customers to "care" about what they buy and in turn, make the environment better". added Angela Teo.
To kick start the launch of this initiative, Guardian Malaysia has given away 10,000 #GuardianCare pack worth a total of RM 400,000 as part of the Health campaign. These #GuardianCare packs have been successfully distributed to school children in 30 school across the nation. This is assisted with a great partnership between Guardian Malaysia with Yayasan Perintis Malaysia.
Each #GuardianCare pack comes with a specially designed COVID-19 Handbook, which has been approved by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health and of course, the hygiene products such as handwash, sanitizers, face mask, tissue paper and Gummies for kids vitamins.

#GuardianCare - Because I Care (Community) |
This is the second pillar of Guardian's Because I Care campaign: the Community.
Guardian has started its Pharmacist Community Outreach programme through Facebook Live segments and Instagram where you as their followers can ask the Pharmacist any health concern questions "live" and you can get the answers instantly.
Besides Pharmacist Community Outreach, Guardian will also educate their customers on products that offer "Clean Beauty" with natural or green ingredients and also products that are "Cruelty Free" which are products that Not Tested On Animals and products that are packed in re-cyclable or re-usable packaging.
#GuardianCare - Because I Care (Environment) |
"In conjunction with Malaysia's National Environment Day celebrated on 21st October 2021, we would like to reduce consumption of single use plastic bags in our stores by encouraging our customers to use these #GuardianCare bags instead which can be re-used many times and last a long time. The bags can carry far more weight than single use plastic bags. In this way, both our customers and Guardian are caring for the planet together." said Angela Teo.
As Guardian is celebrating its 54th Anniversary this year, they have put together a massive 54th Anniversary Shopping Bonanza as an initiative to reward their customers during the Anniversary month. During the shopping bonanza, customers can enjoy:
