Meer Nash Launches 'KAJIMA' Intended For His Ex-Lover As A Sign Of Move On From The Toxic Relationship And The Song Is Now Available On Digital Platform For Streaming

Meer Nash got his new nickname as Oppa Malay from the reality show I Can See Your Voice Malaysia (ICSYVMY) 2020 and recently, he proves that his involvement in the music industry is worthwhile when he successfully launched his new single titled KAJIMA. 

 

In a short period of time after his talent has been noticed, he quickly dabbles into songwriting where the smart work paid off as he thrived to launch his first single last year called 'Saranghae' which brings the K-pop concept.

Looking at the success of his first single continues to bloom in the digital platforms, Meer Nash, 27, or Muhamad Shahmeer Mohd Nasrul returns with his second single that was co-created with Brendan Lim Seng Meng, Seow Seng Tack, Wee Zhen Yong and Asyraf Nasir. 

KAJIMA features MFMF as the producer and arranger that work closely with Meer Nash to arrange, structure and instrument the song that was brilliant and catchy at the same time.

  

According to Meer Nash, the song was written and intended for his ex-lover which made him hard to move on from the relationship for the past two years. 

 

This is the darkest song I've written and recorded so far, and the song has incorporated some elements from the KKN horror movie, rap, children's poems and creative choreography from K-pop dance. said Meer Nash. 

The song was dedicated to his ex who made him unable to move on at the earliest stage of break off and when the song is completed, it indicates that he has finally broken free from the hurt. 

 

This is the reason why at the beginning of the song, you can feel the anger and loss without direction while in the toxic relationship, but in the end, manage to escape from the dark into the gracious light.  

 

Inspiration Came During The Afternoon Nap

As I continued to look for possibilities to move on even the idea was carried into my dream, the inspiration came into my mind during my afternoon nap and I brought up the idea to MFMF and we finished the song within just a few hours. Meer Nash continued.

 

Although the song was completed in just a few hours, Meer Nash admitted that the whole process was a tough one as this is a totally new genre for him.

 

He truly admires the creativity of MFMF that can bring up the fresh idea to improve the initial idea to make the song one of the best ever they produced together. 

 

Also, the involvement of Asyraf Nasir helps to bring the flavor of rapping into the song to make it an interesting song to hear.

 

Meer Nash also collaborated with MFMF earlier Mac this year where they produce a new song called Kembali and he eventually performed this song during the Press Conference to kick off the session.

As for the official music video, he shared that the shooting journey was a smooth one although this is the first time that he collaborated with WP Production. He is truly impressed with the equipment owned and used by this production that was widely used in the Korean music industry. 

Meer Nash appreciates the commitment and efficiency portrayed by everyone in making the music video shooting easygoing. Regardless of the challenges where he has to appear in the MV with several characters that required him to change five pairs of clothes and he was injured during the shooting, the whole MV shooting task was concluded in 18 hours.

He enjoyed working in the production set that comes with different settings to create different moods that align with the story to be told from the song. He shared that he love the scene where he was controlled by the shaman who turns out to be his lover. 

There are several challenges as well during the production such as the fitting where there are wardrobe malfunction and the stylist need to alter the attire on the spot with the accessories or loosen it to ensure that he can move/dance freely in the MV. 

In the end, he hoped that whatever challenges you are currently facing, you can use this song as a strength to move on for whoever is stuck in a situation like him before. 

Meer Nash also reminds us that "Your Feeling Is Valid" where we should learn not to ignore any feeling but endure and learn to move on by facing all the anger and sadness. It might be hard but that is the ticket to overcoming it.
