Malaysia International Durian Cultural Fest 2023 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil

Are you a durian lover just like me? If yes, then the Malaysia International Durian Cultural Fest (MIDCF) 2023 will be your favorite event for sure.

 

This event was held on 8 September 2023 till 10 September 2023 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil and it is also known as The Largest Durian Fest 2023.

Enjoy My Unlimited Durian Buffet During MIDCF2023

This 3-day durian fest where I enjoyed my durian buffet the most is organized by DKing and LKE Musang Queen.

 

It is not just an ordinary durian buffet event as the event is officiated by Dato Dr Ammar Abd Ghapar, Director of Tourism Malaysia, and ended by Y.M. Tengku Dato' Dr. Hishammuddin Zaizi bin Y.A.M. Tengku Bendahara Azman Shah Alhaj from Royal Family of Sultan Selangor.

The last session of the durian buffet was attended by 150 crowds and a few public figures were spotted during the session. We have Carrie Lee, beauty queen winner and organizer, and Winnie K, Malaysia singer.

Largest Durian Fun Run During MIDCF2023

For your information, the first MIDCF began small at DKing SS2 with merely a few hundred people joining while the second MIDCF was held at Pavilion Bukit Jalil with 2000 crowds after recovery from the recent pandemic. 

 

This one is the third edition with even greater achievement looking at 3600 durian lovers joining the event with the special durian fun run organized on 10 September 2023.

The MIDCF2023 Durian Fun Run was joined by 1000 runners which was a true success where everyone enjoyed the 5KM walk, holding a replica of Musang King Durian as a good family bonding activity over the weekend. 

 

Flagged Off And Photo Opportunity During Durian Fun Run

 

The fun run was flagged off by Malaysia Supermodel Amber Chia and Famous DJ Chan Fong after the warm-up session and photo session opportunity.

Besides all about durian, MELIFE also created another memorable journey where they successfully broke their previous record with 1458 face washes in 1 day, which was 1154. This is approved and validated by the Malaysia Book of Records for this year with the award presented to MELIFE.

MELIFE team started their work as early as 8.00 AM till 7.00 PM with non-stop washing and they managed to raise about RM 2000. The best part is that Datin Seri Jekkie will top up the amount to make it RM 5000 as part of the contribution back to the community in the form of vegetarian food with Carrie Lee.

MELIFE Received Recognition by the Malaysia Book of Records For The Most Face Wash In 1 Day At MIDCF2023

Not 1, but 2 Malaysia Book of Records were given out during the final night of MIDCF2023. The second recipient is Brian Lee of LikeMedia who broke his own record of 4 million views last year to nearly triple the records.

 

For this award, he achieved 11 million views on Google Map in a year individually and the award was presented by Mr Edwin Yeoh, Senior Adjudicators of MBR, witnessed by Y.M. Tengku Dato' Dr. Hishammuddin Zaizi, and Tan Sri Danny Ooi, the Founder of Malaysia Book of Records.

Along the night, over 20 lucky draw prizes were given away to all who joined the durian buffet with the Grand Prize winner walking away with Versace Card Holder. This is so cool, right? Congratulations to all the lucky ones.
